Logon denied

My friend brought his computer home from work. He was a part of his domain there. Yet, in order to access files on my personal computer, we changed his domain to the workgroup MSHOME. When we had to reset, it brought up his login. It had his last username-the one he used to logon at work- and but his password would not work. So, he's locked out of his account, he can't log in at all. Any ideas?

I did some more research on this, and I found out that there's nothing that I, as a non-administrator, can do. Dang.

If he was able to login AND change the domain he must have an Administrator id.

So, he should now be able to change the domain back before he logged out.

If the domain has not been changed back, the question about his work-password doesn't arise.

Your story doesn't make any sense.

I asked around, and that's what I was told. If I could have figured the problem out myself, I wouldn't need help. I've never had that issue before.
