Logon errors Windows 2000 peer to peer

I get an error that the user cannot logon to the requested resource. I have placed in new users. Used passwords logged on as administrator, cannot get my WS to connec to the peer to peer server.

have you added the users to the "Power Users" Group. Use the Computer Management console in Administrative Tools in the Control Panel to add the users you wish to access the resources. Expand Groups and click on Power Users, then add and highlight all the required names. That hopefully does the trick..

can you ping another machine on the network? no? try ipconfig /release all /renew all. what is exact logon error message? you say there is an account for user on server? try locking down nic speed to 10mb half duplex on workstation...
