logon fail using IIS

By Vuitanh ·
I'm having an issue with this user that he can't logon to the webservr using Netscape. He was able to accessing it fine using IE5. Other users has more right can logon fine with Netscape. What could be the issue that the user is fine in IE, but not in Netscape?

could you specify which version of Netscape is being used. also what kind of setup do you have? if you are using a secured webpage, then you might want to review his security status....anyway we can discuss it further if you like

Sounds like the authentication method set in IIS isn't supported by Netscape. Other clients with Netscape might have Winsock proxy client installed, which will do authentication for them instead of Netscape. The IE5 supports the NT challenge/response authentication for IIS Netscape doesn't.

Other users are fine with Netscape. Just this particular is not working right in Netscape.
