Hi,

I searched through the registry and couldn't find the string "contact your administrator" which I believe is the same under XP (which I'm using)

...but I couldn't find it, so I guess its hardcoded into the error popup. If you could find the file it lives in, you could use a hex editor to change it.

If its a dll or an exe then you will have to ensure that there are exactly the same number of characters in that message string afterwards as before the edit otherwise all the jmp instructions will be out of whack and it'll be sadly broken.

Cheers,
Tim.

Hi,

Did I misunderstand your question? I assume you're looking for a simple answer, but I dont think you're going to get one.

That doesn't mean you need to reject the answer - I'm fairly sure I'm right, but if I'm not, then someone else will answer and you can reject it then...

Will you only award points to someone who gives you the answer you *want* to hear?

Tim.

Use system Policy Editor and create a policy. The policy editor has a setting for this.
