I am looking into displaying a notice to users after the press CTRL-ALT-DEL, before they login. I know how to place the message. My question is how many other companies are displaying a legal notice at login, and how is it worded? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Many companies, that I know off through business relations do NOT, in fact, use a login caption at boot. However, my company has just instituted using this and I know that of the companies that DO use it - they either government relation businesses or financial institutions such as credit unions, banks or brokers.
The message should be precise and to the point and should always provide a contact person's name if their are any questions about the policy message.
Our's reads simply: "All information accessed herein is proprietary to our business activities and is not to be devulged to outside persons or entities with which are not apart of our client base, either prospective or current. Any questions should be referred to theMIS department."
It is very important that the message include the phrase "violators will be prosecuted" otherwise it could be argued in court (and has been...) that the intruder was not made aware that he/she was not allowed to use the network/system, and that he/she was not made to understand that there would be ramifications to their actions.
Some govnerment agencies have a message that states:
"Unauthorized use of this computer system constitutes a violation of Title 18, USC. All instances of violation will be investigated and prosecuted to the full extent of the law."
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
