In a NT 4.0 environment how is the script created that will locked down a win9x desktop. Eliminating the programs and accessories for the current user when they logon to the network.

Look at POLEDIT.EXE on Win9X. Lock down stuff with your policy editor and place a copy of the policy in the NETLOGON share on your PDC.

This is done through policy editor/manager, not through login scripts. Policy Editor should be found in the Administration Tools menu.

You can use windows98 Resourse Kit.There is Policy Editor for Win98 and needed files *.adm. Windows NT and 98 policies are dufferent. Copy from Resourse Kit files *.adm in folder "Inf" and use template menu from Policy Editor program. You hould savefile in Win NT Server NETLOGON share folder with the name "Config.pol". To configure dectop use Shell configurations.
