Yes, but

you will have to set it for every user account on every workstation.

It's under Administrative Tools - Local Users and Groups.

Here goes

I would like it to do the following:

Display a message saying:

Good Morning (name)
Logging you onto Catalyst Commercial........Please Wait

Map network drives
Map network printers
Set IE Home page
Put a shortcut to our Database on the desktop

Before each item, I would like it to display a message like, "Mapping Network Drives......"

Thanks very much

Check out KixTart

by Daniel.Muzrall In reply to

I've been using KixTart as my logon scripting engine for almost 5 years now, and have been very happy with it. You can download it for free from It comes with great documentation, and it does not require a domain.

I've got it set up so that there is a batch file in the All Users/Startup folder which calls the KixTart executable and the appropriate script file to run. That way I can keep one copy of the script on my server, and make any changes I want or need in one place.

Let me know if you need any more information.
