Logon to NT over CiscoSecure VPN

We have remote clients signing onto our LAN using the CiscoSecure VPN client. With this client, their connection ends at the router. We are able to ping any devices in the LAN, and we are able to work on other platforms inside the LAN, but we are not able to sign on the NT server and access the server files. We also have RAS setup for remote dial-in. I am able to dial-in with the RAS connection and signon to the NT server, so the client is setup correctly. Can anyone help with this problem?

    Thanks

This is a shot in the dark. Do you have LMHOSTS and HOSTS files on the clients? Can you browse the servers in network neighborhood? How are you authenticating? You might need the LMHOSTS file.

Are you using CiscoSecure ACS for Windows NT? If you are, then you should be able to authenticate the clients to the NT domain. Sounds like the clients are not being authenticated by the NT server. But if you are using the entry-level CiscoSecure, then you need to play around with RAS+PPTP on the NT server and clients to log onto the NT server, i.e. use CiscoSecure client to authenticate at the router, and use the nt vpn client to authenticate the client to the NT server.
