Loguin Script does not work on W95/98

By nsolop ·
Hi folks, I'm having problems maping network shares from a Loguin script in active directory.
The scripts work just fine on NT/2K/XP but on W95/98 clients the script do nothing.
I installed the dsclient from the W2K cd but it didn't help.

Please let me know if you have an idea of how can I get this solved.

Thanks, Regards,

PS: sorry about my English ;-)

NT / 2k scripts do not work in 98 machines...

You would have to use the pcname\share instead of the i.p. address\share name to make them work. Also only using the 8 letter filename...

The way we solved it out is to create a script that will map unit K and M:

net use M: \\(servername)\(sharedname)
net use K: \\(servername)\(sharedname)

saved as a bat file and added that name on the profile tab on the user's properties.

Hope this work.
