looking for final thesis/project ideas!

Dear All,
Hello to every one. I am a student of Masters of computer sciences, from Pakistan. My last semester will commence by January 2005. I, therefore, am planning to think of some novel idea regarding my final thesis/project. I would really like to have the precious ideas of many intellectuals who visit this web site. I am planning to major either in DataBase Managment Systems (dataware housing and mining) or software engineering. I'm interested in doing research work but I might also go for a project. I would therefore like to look for some interesting idea that is more relevant to these fields. I would really appreciate any sort of assistance.

finally, someone who thinks as much of my ideas as i do. (smile)
i find data mining a great idea on paper.
if i could spend time researching and writing about something interesting to me in my field, i would research and write about google and its history and its innovations and its vision of its future

Take a look in the advancing field of data storage.

Drive size is dropping at a quantium rate. They have to use a lubricant on the platters because of the head to platter gap.

I have heard of research in to holographic crystals for data storage.
