Looking for good training material

By cjenkins ·
I am currently looking for places that offer good solutions for self-paced training in the areas of SQL 2000, Exchange 2000 and other Microsoft 2000 products and maybe Citrix, Unix and Linux. Right now I am NOT looking for "Crash Course" certification material, but more so material that will walk me through labs with either CD or Video based instruction that I can do on my on time. So far I have found www.appdev.com however no other places that offer the training I'm looking for. Does anyonehave suggestions of actual experience from any other self-paced training material?

Thank You,

Books and stuff.....

by LordInfidel In reply to Looking for good training ...

For MS based stuff, go to the source...

MSPress (mspress.microsoft.com)
Most books have cd-roms but most of it is harcore reading. They do have practical exercises to do.

For linux.
Go to this site
http://www.linuxnewbie.org/

Books: I strongly suggest
Running Linux 3rd edition published by O'reilly.

You may just want to invest the 30 bucks and get a red hat installation box, it usually comes with a book.

The o'reilly books are really quite good.

For 2000 server: Inside windows 2000 server by william boswell published by new riders.

To actually buy the books go to this site
http://www.bestwebbuys.com/books/index.html

Use the links on this site to purchase them. It helps support the site. You can find the lowest price on the books.
