I am looking for key ratios pertaining to IT staffing and departmental optimization and on task utilization as I am attempting to perform an Apples to Apples comparision of the internal cost of IT vs outsourcing. Does anyone have experience with this or can you point me in the direction of appropriate resources? For example am I better off with a generalist that spends 20% of their time on security vs outsourcing this issue all together.
