Looking for VERY simple email issue tracking system

By kristy.dyer ·
I'm looking for a very simple email issue-tracking system. I'm going to abuse this by using as a order tracking tool for purchasing in the next six months while we bring on a full ERP system.

I have a long list of expensive and free systems that do way too much.

Really what I want is:

A "dashboard" that says how many "issues" have been resolved, how old the unresolved ones are, to whom each issue has been assigned (only about six users at this end). It would be nice to be able to set a custom status but not totally necessary.

I don't want to change how orders are initiated -- emails with Excel spreadsheets attached are sent to purchasing@ourcompany and they should each get a ticket number.

Many of the systems I've looked at (Assembla, FogBugz, JIRA) require people submitting the request to be logged into the system or web page -- that I need to avoid.

Is there anything left out there that doesn't have full software development bells and whistles?

In my youth we had a MH set up on a unix machine that did all this....
