Loosing mapped drives connections

by jf555 . Updated 21 years, 1 month ago

We have a Standard edition Windows 2003 server w/o Active directorey, only only shared folder with a workgroup. Have mapped several folders on the server to be drive letters from various individual computers. After about one month, some computers get this message after reboot” Could not connect to all mapped drives, etc.” If I then use Explorer, click on the drive with the red X on it, a get a login window with theuser name and passwor option. Once I login, the drive becomes avaialble.
I have specifically set the initial drive mapping to “remeber the password”. Also, when I try to exlore the server’s drives, nothing shows up after the timeout period. We have 8 computers connected to thius server, 5 work fine, the other three show this behavior, any and all hints would be appreciated, thanks,

Jeff
