lose internet connection

hi i have some internet connection problems. i lose internet connection periodically and when this happen the computer hang up and the only solution is to reboot it.
what can i do?.

I have 2 computers connected in my modem, the server via usb and the client via ethernet cable. when the problem occurs only the server lose internet connection and hang up. The client always works perfectly… wait for comments or suggestions.. thanks…
