Here’s the deal. I have 1 static ip address from my service provider. Commercial ADSL. The Win2000 Server is on that ip address on the public nic. (216.21.159.4). I have DHCP, Wins, IIS 5.0, Exchange, and Terminal server working on the Server. I have a win2000 box behind the server using NAT to access the internet. It seems highly unstable. I’ll be surfing on the win2000 box fine, or the server, and out of nowhere the access will stop. I can ping 216.21.159.1 – 216.21.159.254, any computer in that block responds. Anything else I cannot reach. If I disable then reenable the NIC it’s fine again, but then I lose all my services. Also anyone outside can ping me even when I can’t get out. But again they cannot access services on the server ( IIS, Exchange, Terminal. only ping and netbios-snn port respond. Any idea’s
