When I boot an XP computer on our Windows 2000 server domain, I can see and use all network resources including other computer shared drives and files for a time. I can share my computer drive and files to any individual or group on the domain server for a time. My problem occurs after 10 minutes or sometimes longer. The XP machine forgets who is on the server and cannot communicate with other computers. I can still ping all devices but I have to use passwords to get onto another computer if it finds it at all in explorer. When this occurs, I also cannot share my files or directors etc with anyone on the domain. It is as if the computer reverts back to a peer to peer work group with not permissions. How to I fix this problem? How do I keep the permissions on the server active in the XP workstations? If I reboot every time I run into difficultites, it fixes the problem for a couple of minutes.
