loss of hbernate function

By rschreiber9 ·
Hello,
When initially installing software on a fresh hard drive, the Hibernate function is available. However, after reaching a certain point, the Hibernate function disappears. Running Windows XP. Appreciate any replies. Thanks.

Do you have enough disk space for the hibernation file? If must be at least equal to the amount of memory you have!

1. First makesure whether the Hibernation options is enabled in the MSCONFIG->Advanced option.

2.Also check in the Control panel->Power options and ensure that the Hibernation option is enabled.

3.Also make sure that you have the sufficient amount of freespace in your hard disk (minimum double the size of the RAM).

4. Try to cleared the temp (*.tmp) and Minidump(.dmp) files.
