Loss of internet connection thru wireless router

by bkhast . Updated 16 years ago

I have a Belkin G F5D7230-4 version 7001 wireless router. I was already having issues w/ loss of wireless internet connection, which was annoying enough. Now I’ve lost complete internet connection thru the router. I can bypass it & just go thru the modem for my desktop, but that doesn’t help my issue for the multiple laptops & other wireless needs in our house. I’ve contacted Belkin tech support 3 times today alone. No one has been able to help me so far. I’ve been elevated to a “level 2 tech issue” and am currently awaiting a phone call. However, in the meantime, I’ve followed all the step by step instructions to update the router firmware & reconfigure the router, (cloning the WAN connection) which is what the 1st 3 tech supports were trying to assist me with earlier, but I still do not have the use of the internet thru the router. This router is less than a year old. Does anyone have any other ideas?
