Lost all GUI of the Internet Explorer

At home I have ME as OS. A month ago, I may have hit a wrong combination of keys and all the toolbars of IE disappeared. Only the blue logo bar remained. Tried manipulating the GUI, removed that IE and installed another one. All to no effect. I can see a menu at a time with the cursos and the ALT/V key combination but it doesn’t stay visible as soon as the cursor moves. Any ideas? Also did F11 key tricks, nothing.
