I have a DELL xps Gen 3 running xp sp2 professional. I have two 80 GB SATA drives a master and a slave. I keep programs on the Master and ALL my data files on the slave. I had to restore the master drive to factory condition using Dell’s “System Restore” hidden partition. the C: drive (master) was restored to contain all of the original files. The slave drive dissappeared from “My Computer” and Windows Explorer. the Bios sees it correctly, DOS FDISK sees it correctly, Maxtor’s diagnostic utility sees it, even Windows Disk Management sees it correctly.
BUT, I have no way to access the files on this disk!
Is there a way to read it in dos and copy all the files to the c: drive? Is there a way to force Windows to give me access to the files on the disk? HELP!
