Ok I read the forums here quite often and you all seem smarter than me 😉 so here goes,
I switched a clients server and I went and changed the nameservers on Network Solutions which is where the domain is from.
I did this on a Saturday and the client is missing 1 days worth of emails.
Question is this.
Can I use Outlook or anything to access the mail that may have went through still to the old server while the nameserver was processing?
I have access to the old server by using the ip and cpanel.
in other words i’m using I.E – http://111.111.111.1:2082/frontend to acess the mail on the old server but obviously can’t use the domain because it point to the new server.
sorry if this makes no sense but the only thing i can think of to get the last 2 days of mail is to once again change the NS’s back to the old server.
i’m a designer and so i’m a dummy for trying to be a it guy.
