lost hard drive letter

by richfournier . Updated 20 years, 3 months ago

Running XP pro i got the dreaded blue screen with unmountable boot volume error. Bought a new drive and installed it as master the old one as slave. Loaded windows me to new drive. Ran getdataback to get data from old drive copied to new one. Old drive has no letter assigned to it in ME. Shows up in bios and device manager and under system info it shows up under disk but not under drives.

How can I run fdisk or format or get it a letter or get rid of the boot volume error?
