The system closed this on me, but I still have the problem. Experience with the answers given are below.

My MS Word app comes up in what appears to be the full
screen mode, but without the little escape box that goes with it. I
have tried the F10 key which is supposed to activate the menu
bar, but there is no response to that. Most of the other, editing,
hot keys work and provide limited functionality that way. The
Help files say to click Tools on the menu bar, but that is
impossible when it is the menu bar is not showing at all.
I am using Word from the MSOffice 2000 Premium
