Lost Window XP Desktop

After downloading and running a free high speed defrag program, my entire desktop disappeared except for the wallpaper. The Start button, icons and bottom activity bar are all gone. When I boot back up a Windows Explorer window does show up and I’m able to access my files and programs.

Can anyone help me restore my desktop? Thanks!
