Hi there- I’ll do my best to explain my problem, but I am no computer expert, & imagine my “troubleshooting” may have muddled things up worse as I have no clue what I did…
In short, all of my yahoo emails from the past 3 years have disappeared. They were “popped” to my outlook folder, showed up there as “new”, I messed with the outlook settings some how & adjusted profiles not knowing why they showed up, and now they are completely gone. Are they gone for good?
I believe the problem stems from my clicking on a “contact us” link, and since i think outlook is my default email setting (although i do not use it) it prompted me to complete my profile- which i did including all my yahoo info- and, I assume, this “popped” all my yahoo email to outlook (although not at all what i wanted it to do…so, i don’t think i set up any settings to save to server or anything- if that matters).
I didn’t delete anything out of outlook, but did mess with the profiles, replacing the default yahoo profile with my gmail address, etc…perhaps this permanently removed all my yahoo emails- i’m just hoping there’s some “secret” setting or file that i know nothing about that can restore these 3 years of emails back to my yahoo account. Is it possible all these emails are just “lost” without ever actively deleting them or responding to a prompt to remove them from outlook? That’s hard to stomach, & i’m desperate to locate these emails…. what can i do? Thanks SO much in advance- i’m desperate!
