We use Lotus Notes 4.5.7a Server & Client in our company. Recently we chose to use our own Notes MTA server to receive e-mail from the internet. That’s when the problems arose. Lotus Notes client is unable to display messages that contain attachments encoded in MIME format. When someone@somefirm.com forwards me an e-mail which has already been forwarded 4 or 5 times beetween other guys, I can not see who has replied what. I only see the latest words that the last guy who forwarded the mail to me, has written. All the other stuff is in unreadable ASCII format. This problem has been reported by different clients. And yes, I have tested it, mail.yahoo.com can read the same problem e-mail, only Notes clients display this message like garbage. Last thing: Notes client works fine for those messages which do not contain any forwarded messages.
