Lotus Notes designer

One of my users is getting systems resources sucked up when she uses Lotus Notes designer. Her available resources drops to less than 10%. She has a pentium 866 with 8 gig of hd available and 128 meg of ram with Windows 98 SE and all patches. She only usually has outlook express open at the same time as this app. The Lotus version is 5.0.4.
I have uninstalled and reinstalled the package but the problem continues. It only happens in the Lotus package so I don’t think it’s an OS or bad memory issue. Please advise…..

  On our network i have had a problem like this one. system would go to about 100% utilization on entering lotus notes. the problem we had was Mcafee virus scan. If we ran a super dat update on a system with an old scan engine below 4.0.70 thisproblem would happen. If this might be your problem let me know and i can help you with the fix or you can uninstall virus scan
