Just finished installing Domino Server v5.0.2 onto a Linux Redhat 7.2(??) server. I followed the exact steps Lotus provides, and believe it or not, it didn’t work.
After installing, and running the commands Lotus states in its documentation, I goto the other workstation and try accessing the server via the http://notes_server_IP:8081 command, and I get a connection refused through Netscape, or “page cannot be displayed” though IE.
I tried starting the server, starting http through Lotus, making sure Linux’s Http is disabled, and no go. the workstation can see the server since it can telnet to it.
Is it only me or is Lotus always this difficult in getting its things to run?
