if I have setup a R5 client to access third party isp's pop3 mail. Can the mail data be backup from the computer? so that if I reinstall the client with a new user id file new (connected to domino server) and still be access to the old pop3 mails ?

The mail is downloaded into a NSF file. This file can be backed up as normal and then when moved to another computer. Note that you also have to create an ACCOUNT within the personal address book that points to this backed up database... If you look in the users current personal address book then you can see how the account document looks.
If you're asking for technical help, please be sure to include all your system info, including operating system, model number, and any other specifics related to the problem. Also please exercise your best judgment when posting in the forums--revealing personal information such as your e-mail address, telephone number, and address is not recommended.
