I have a Lotus Notes 6 server and my email is filtered incoming and outgoing with a Sonicwall Email Security device. Suddenly, at about midday, the Notes server stopped sending outgoing email messages to the Email Security device and started reporting this error: Error transferring to 192.168.100.253; SMTP Protocol Returned a Permanent Error 550 5.7.1 Unable to relay for …, It says it cannot relay for any recipient email addresses. Nothing was changed on the server or the Email Security device but this suddenly started occurring. All the outgoing messages are being held in the mail.box file and aren’t being delivered. Any ideas what could be causing this and how to resolve it?
