Lotus Notes/TCP/IP Connect

By infosys2 ·
I have users connecting to the Internet and Lotus Notes email program. When they bring up Lotus Notes it brings up a connect to the Internet dialog box. How do I get it to go away but to keep that box coming up when connecting to the internet?

give me more information what version of Notes are they using?, client 4.62x or client 5.0x?, the method to avoid this it's almost the same but they are called different on both versions, you most go under "File" then "Mobile" and then "edit currentlocation", or go to the little box right to the small "key" or "mail box" on the bottom of your application screen and and make sure that it says "office network". Once whithin the "current location" using any of the two methods you can verify how is it that your users are connecting to the (I guess) Domino server, you gotta make sure that it's using the protocol "TCP/IP" as opposed to using any COM ports....

Try this: Go to Internet Options in the Control Panel and under Connections, make sure that "Always dial me default connection" is not checked. What happens is whenever a tcp/ip connection is made internet explorer attempts to dial a connection. Ihope this helps.
