Lotus notes vs Outlook 2003

Hi everybosy . I m assistant manager of a company in inda and would like to have ur opininon or help whateever u may call as. I m using exchange server currently and planning to migrate to Lotus or MO2003 . Now i would like to know advantages nad disadvantages of both in cost and performance . Steer clear of notes

Unless you like long winded support calls. Its over techy and difficult to fix when things go wrong. Furthermore the client is memory hungry and buggy. End users will not like it when compared to Outlook.

But, if you have a Notes developer in house (like we did) it is a fantastic program. We used it for everything, including our helpdesk ticketing system, accounts payable, HR. It basically can be programmed to do just about anything.

The downside is the support. It really requires a specialized technician to support and program it.
