I run sco openserver 5.0.5 and 5.0.6. Standard lpd printing system.
I print to Epson lq2180 dot matrix printers via parallel.
my problem is the following:
A print daemon generates multiple files to print and sends them to my printer queue. The queue fills up with jobs (Up to 80 seperate lp jobs, the biggest being 22000 bytes) and the printer starts printing.
(Mind you this worked fine up until about 3 weeks ago).
Now at any time during the printing the printer seizes up and dies with all lights on the printer coming on. From then on print jobs are screwed up and need to be resent.
Has anyone seen something similar?
The printer itself has been serviced and is in good condition. There is nothing misconfigured in the OS.
