Intermittently, when I print by clicking on the printer icon in Outlook Express or IE (5)trough my LAN, I get outputted on my server/workstation or on the workstation desktop an icon called LPT1 or NE00 depending if i setup my printer through the server parallel port or the netport.
If I click on the LPT1 icon the system freezes. I need to reboot and use a del command in DOS to get read of the LPT1 0bytes file. The NE00 is more friendly and can be dragged and dropped in the trash and deleted from there.
I have performed all the basic troubleshooting with no success. I have also great difficulties in finding any reference to this particular problem.
Has anyone seen this before? Has anyone any suggestion on how to fix this problem?
