Mac address to numeric value

Hello !
Can a mac address be represented as a decimal value ? for exemple : 300 or 720 ?
If yes, what is the process ?

The MAC address is already numeric.... It's just represented in 6 groups of hexidecimal numbers separated by dashes. Each group of numbers is easily converted to decimal numbers between 0 and 255. So, if you simply removed the dashes and converted each group and strung them all together, the resulting number could be a very LARGE number. But, you could add each group and come up with a decimal number no larger than 1530.
