      Have a look at DAVE:
      http://www.thursby.com/default.html

I sent a query regarding VPN and DAVE and am awaiting a reply. I would assume that it will work.

Unfortunately, the links a little deeper are all outdated. I always hated web sites that don’t update their content on a regular basis.

Thank you for your answer though.

DAVE 2.5.2 supports a connection to Windows 2000 and can copy files over
      a VPN connection.

If you have not already done so, I recommend that you download the full
evaluation of DAVE 2.5.2 from our web site http://www.thursby.com.

I’ve found some information from our online support database that may be
helpful in your situation. If you have further questions or comments,
      please let us know.

      Sincerely,
      Michael Gatton

      –Question—————————————
Is it possible to use a productlike TunnelBuilder to allow the
Macintosh to connect to a VPN?

      –Answer—————————————–
Yes, TunnelBuilder is one of the products that we recommend when
customers would like to connect their Macintosh over the internetto a
remote network. DAVE will allow the Macintosh to connect to Windows
networking over TCP/IP. If you are able to make a TCP/IP connection
through PPTP or VPN, DAVE will be able to connect and share to Windows
      machines.

If you need helpestablishing the VPN connection, contact Network
TeleSystems, Inc., the makers of TunnelBuilder at http://www.nts.com

I want the same functionality of a PC: I want to be able to dial into an ISP and then create a VPN connection with the internal network of an office. Tunnelbuilder, at least the eval version, doesn’t give me a connection option for anything other than Ethernet. This won’t work with Remote Access, since it is obviously using the modem.

Here is what I use to connect to my company’s VPN network.

      CISCO VPN client

Then once I am conneced I open a CITRIX ICA client session with my server and I can have a regular Windows NT session.

Very slick and very stable in my experience. I have used this connection with both 56K modem and DSL.

We aren’t running Cicso VPN hardware, so the client doesn’t have the capability that I need. Thank you for your answer though.
