I have used the desktop print spooler since I
got my GCC BLP Elite in 1992. It all worked
fine until recently when I went from OS 9.1 to
9.2.
Suddenly I can’t create the Laserwriter printer
on the dektop. But I can create the StyleWriter
2500 fine and it spools and works in
background.
I go through all the set up with the Laserwriter,
even using the generic driver and PPD and
and it just doesn’t finish the job.
I can still print to the Laserwriter with the
selected PPD if I select foreground when
printing, though. If I leave it in background
nothing comes out.
When I returned to OS 9.1 to get LaserWriter
printing back it didn’t return, seems its gone
for good.
Any ideas? Is there a copy of the printing
software I can reload?
