MAC OSX-Tiger low system resources

By ron.peasha ·
Just a quick question hoping someone can point me in a direction. I have a G4 that is primarily used in a home audio recording studio. However, my wife is a huge iTunes fan. My G4 has a 500GB HD for my home recordings and the original 20GB HD that came with it in which operates the system. My wife has filled up that 20GB HD with iTunes music and now the machine will not delete files, transfer iTunes to the secondary HD, or anything really. It has about 340MB of available space. Is there a trick to emptying my trash without having to do a complete restore? I want to completely get rid of iTunes from HD1 (20GB) and free up the system resources. The last time I did a restore, i lost all of my home recording files as well.
