    Macbook air 2020 i5 vs 8th gen mac pro 2020?

    I’m thinking of buying a new macbook and my choices have narrowed down to i5 Macbook Air 2020 (10th gen) and 8th gen i5 Macbook Pro 2020 (i’m buying the 2020 because of the magic keyboard ofc). If any of you are in my position, which one will you choose? These two only have around $200 difference with the pro being more expensive which is a pretty good deal for me but I’m just worried that the 8th gen will be too outdated in the future :(. Please help me choose!

      MacBook Pros have faster U-series Intel processors, while the MacBook Air has a slower Y-series processor that is optimized for everyday tasks and battery life. The Air and Pro make do with Intel Iris Plus graphics, but the MacBook Pro offers discrete AMD graphics.
