Where do you find the machine configuration.
The description the processor, cache memory, RAM, ROM, hard disk, monitor, printer, etc.

Use the program MSInfo (or System Information).

Another is the system tab in the system applet in the control panel

While the system boots you can see the config of processor,ram,hard disk,cache memory.
you can check the system information in system tools for detailed config.
(or)in the system properties by right clicking the my computer icon.

You have some good answers,but there is freeware called SiSoft Sandra that is available for download that will give you complete configuration of your machine,it can be downloaded from
www.cnet.com
