MacIE form post adds space to each field

I have had a web system running for a couple of years now without trouble, until some Mac users with IE (5+) tried to access it. It appears to append whitespace to the end of every form field’s value.

It doesn’t seem to matter whether its a standard or multipart form, indicating to me that it isn’t the documented problem with the addition of a CR/LF. I cannot seem to find anything on the web about this and would like to know if anyone has experienced this, and what it is in my forms that may be causing it.
