Iknow that this has nothing to do with NT, but I don't know where else to go.
MAC OS 8.5
OUTlook Express
My goal is to delete the preferences in OUTlook Express for the client is switching e-mails. It won't even open up Outlook Express. I get an error message "Preference files could not be opened and end of file was reached."
I already went into the control panel and boosted the ram. Please Help. Thanks

The error means either the pref file is locked or its corrupt/damaged. "End of file was reached" means that the file is shorter than it should be. You can try holding the option key down while opening up OE or you may have to reinstall OE altogether.

To correct the problem, try deleting or at least renaming the OE pref file. The file is located at:

System Folder\Preferences\Outlook Express Prefs

The next time Outlook Express is launched, it should create a new preferences file.
