Mail cannot connect

Urgent help needed! My Mail system is in trouble. When I try to log in to get or send mail, I get a message saying “Recovered Messages (Windows Live). Imported 1,600 of 16,000 messages.”
And that’s as far as it gets. Cannot view or send messages.
All suggestions welcome.

Frankly if Microsoft still hasn’t fixed this, it’s time to use another email app and service.

what email client are you using?

Outlook, still or Apple Mail?
I see Malwarebytes was recommended last time, did you do that and is it still installed?

– What mail program do you use?
– What type of connection (pop3 or imap)
– What on the yyy and zzz in your email address xxx@yyy.zzz?

– Why “(Windows Live)” in a message on a Mac?

If Outlook is still working fine, I’d use that and forget about this corrupted mail environment
