Mail merge – next record if

by don christner . Updated 24 years, 11 months ago

I would like to do a mail merge letter that may need more than one record from the data source. Question #1: How can I tell it to use the next record if the invoice # for the next record is the same as the present records’ invoice#? Am I doing it the hard way? Help says that I should not use the next record if, that I should use the query options. However, even if I reboot and then open the mail merge document, it says that it can not open the query because someone else has it open. My data source is local, rebooting should tell me if I am about to disconnect someone. No one is connected to my machine. Question #2: Why can’t I get to the query options?

Win NT4.0 SP6a, Office 97 SP2, 128MB RAM

TIA,
Don
