If I create, reply, or forward a message in Outlook Express 6 (6.00.2900.5512) on Win XP SP3, I cannot send or receive mail (including the message I just tried to send) once the message goes into the Outbox folder. If I press Ctrl+M, click the Send Receive button, or use the menu command with a message in the outbox, nothing happens, and the message does not get sent. Also, because OE is non-responsive to Send/Receive, I cannot check for incoming mail. In all other respects, OE works normally. If I close OE and restart it, it sends the message in the outbox and checks for new mail the way it should. I can also then check for new mail by pressing Ctrl+M, clicking the Send Receive button, or using the menu command as long as I don’t put any mail in the outbox.
