MAIL Problem

by gregberry . Updated 23 years ago

Hello, we have an OpenBSD box running sendmail. I am not a Unix guy and I can’t get in touch with my normal Unix guy.

I have two accounts that are having the same problem, all of the other accounts are fine. The common denominator with these accounts is that the same e-mail was sent to both accounts. The e-mail is art work. My guess, becuase we had a similiar problem not to long ago, is that the e-mail is too big for any of our e-mail clients to download. We are getting a bad password error on the clients, however after changing the password on the server, it does not help. What I need to know is how to login and delete this particular message from both accounts, if possible, without deleting and recreating the users.

Also, I would like to know how to setup an alias so that when someone e-mails a user with more than 8 characters (khogeboom@company.com) it redirects to the khogeboo (8 character) account on the server. We currently have this setup on several accounts. It would be good to know in case I need to create or recreate an account.

I am also looking for an another independent Unix Consultant, if you are interested please e-mail me your resume (gregberry@it-ci.com)

Thanks.
