Mailbox notification to alternate recipi

By Blazez ·
Hi all,
I have an exchange 5.5 srevr (on winnt4 setver) and for a number of users i have set the alternate recipient to another user.
I have set it so that the mail is send to the user and to the alternate recipient.
When the mailbox is full, the normal user recieves a natification, but the notification is not send to the alternate recipient.
Anyone know how i can make it so that both the normal recipient and the alternate recipient recieve the notifications?

Mailbox notification to alternate recipi

Why don't you simply add the alternate mailbox to view in the required user's mailbox. This way the main user sees the alternate user's mailbox direct given required permissions.

That saves you setting up rules etc.

Follow instructios below:
Add another person's mailbox to your user profile

1 Click Inbox .
2 On the Tools menu, click Services.
3 In the The following information services are set up in this profile box, click Microsoft Exchange Server.
4 Click Properties, and then click the Advanced tab.
5 Click Add, and then type the mailbox name of the person whose mailbox you want to add to your user profile.

Note The manager's mailbox must already be set up as a shared folder before a delegate can carry out this procedure.

Share your mailbox folder

1 If the Folder List is not visible, on the View menu, click Folder List.
2 Right-click the mailbox folder you want to share, and then click Properties on the shortcut menu.
3 Click the Permissions tab, and then click Add.
4 In the Type name or select from list box, type or select the name of the person you want to grant share permissions to.
5 Click Add, and then click OK.

6 In the Name box, click the name of the person you want.
7 In the Roles box, click Reviewer.
