There are two ways set the default limit.

1. In Exchange System manager drill down till you get to "Mailbox Store" right click and go to properties and click on the "Limits" tab and set your limits. That will effect all users.

2. If you have more than one Exchange server drill down to "System Policies" right click select "new" then "Mailbox Store policy" select "limits" in the policy window and give the policy a name and set your limits. By making it a system policy, if you have more than one Exchange server you can just add the other Exchange servers to the policy.

To change the mailbox size for a user

Go to Active dir. users and computers. Make sure you have "Advanced Features" checked under view. Then right click on the user and select "properties". Select "Exchange General" then click the "Storage Limits" button then uncheck "Use mailbox store defaults" and enter in the size limit for that user.

Hope this helps, email me if you have any questions.
