I am currently working for a VAR in MD and since entering the field I have obtained my MCP, MCDST, A+ and Network+ certifications. I should also have my CCNA by December.
To the point. I really want to make the transition from Inside Sales/Tech Support to and entry level networking/security position. Trouble is I am afraid that if I express interest in moving over to the “tech” side that I may get the boot which I can not afford to do right now. I would like to go about this professionally but would also like some advice.
Any helpful response would be greatly appreciated.
